A parade is scheduled for Monday, December 8th at 3:30 pm to celebrate two local high school football teams! Knappa, who won the state championship and Astoria, who plays for their state championship on Saturday.

Reluctant Dragon at the Liberty Theater
December 3rd, Tears of Joy Theatre will present two performances of The Reluctant Dragon. This show is based on a children’s story by Kenneth Grahame, who is best known for The Wind in the Willows.

Weathering the Storm
Weather is always a topic of conversation in the Pacific Northwest, especially when there is a storm in the forecast. December 6th the Columbia River Maritime Museum observes the first anniversary of the Great Coastal Gale of 2007 with an all day event entitled Weathering the Storm.

The Winds of Change
A year ago turbulent storms toppled trees and power lines and caused flooding across Pacific and Wahkiakum counties. To commemorate the anniversary of the 2007 storm and celebrate the community’s resiliency. The public is invited to “The Winds of Change,” an open house on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Girls ages 6-12 are invited to apply and become Miss Clatsop County Princesses at the 2009 Miss Clatsop County Pageant at the Seaside Civic & Convention Center. The Miss Clatsop County Princess program is a mentoring program for young ladies.

County Offers Flu Vaccines

Clatsop College College Registration
Registration for the 2009 Winter Term begins Monday, December 1st, 2008 and continues thru Friday, January 9th, 2009. Winter classes begin January 5th, 2009. Please keep in mind that the college will be closed December 24th – January 1st. The college will re-open January 2nd.
